DOT Issues Traffic Interruption Advisory

The Georgia Department of Transportation is continuing essential road work throughout Southeast Georgia, and as a result work on construction and maintenance projects will be ongoing through the months of July and August.

All work is subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are cautioned to reduce their speed while traveling through work zones, and to pay attention and watch for workers.

Traffic interruptions for the Toombs area are listed below: US1/SR4, Toombs County: traffic shift onto new northbound lanes, mile marker 8 to 12, week of July 22.

SR292, Toombs/ Tattnall Counties: From US 1/SR 4 to Evans County Line, daily lane closures, through August 31.
