The Toombs County Young Farmers Chapter recently presented two Toombs County High School Class of 2024 graduates with memorial scholarships to help them continue their academic careers.

Grace Holt received the Donnie Mann Memorial Scholarship, which was presented by his widow, Mary Mann. Holt plans to attend Georgia Southern University to obtain a degree in elementary education.

R.J. Florez received the Johnny Jones Memorial Scholarship, which was presented by his widow, Mona Jones, and daughter, Jessica Jones. Florez plans to attend the University of Georgia in the fall to pursue a degree in political science, and to eventually attend law school. He also hopes to earn a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, so that in the future, he can work in corporate law.
