gether with the Toombs County Family Connection to make sure that the area’s youth had all of the supplies and information they needed for a successful year. Vision screenings were even available during the bash, and raffles were held for several door prizes.

“It’s always a joy to kick off a new school year as a community. At Family Connection, we are committed to improving the well-being of children and families in Toombs County. We are also dedicated to improving school success. I believe this event is a beautiful example of how our collaborative partners join together to do just that,” Toombs County Family Connection Executive Director Paige Williamson emphasized. “We hope that our families and students felt the love and support our community has for them on Saturday and we are looking forward to another wonderful school year.”

Williamson also shared her gratitude to the event’s sponsors: the Cities of Lyons and Vidalia; Southeastern Technical College; United Way of Toombs, Montgomery, and Wheeler Counties; Forge Men’s Recovery Center; Gardens of Hope RCO; the Toombs County Sheriff’s Office; Phillips Event Management; Magic City Barbers; Vidalia Rotary Club; and Zen Den Yoga Studio. She also extended special thanks to the City of Vidalia, Toombs County SAFE KIDS Organization, Vidalia Rotary Club, First United Methodist Church of Lyons, Vidalia High School FCCLA, Toombs County High School Cheerleaders, and the Bash committee for its work in making the event possible.
