Local Teams Shine At 5v5 Soccer National Tour Tournament

The local soccer scene was ablaze with excitement as Toombs County Soccer Association (TCSA) hosted a 5v5 Soccer National Tour Tournament this past weekend in Vidalia. The event brought together thirteen talented teams from Florida, Americus, Jesup, Reidsville, Saint Mary’s, Savannah, Treutlen, and Vidalia for a day of fierce competition and camaraderie.
Aligned with 5v5 Soccer’s mission to expand the sport's reach, the tournament provided a platform for players of all levels to showcase their skills. The emphasis on fun, friendship, and fair play created a positive atmosphere for both participants and spectators.
The competition was divided into three divisions: 14u, 15u, and Men's Open. Each division witnessed thrilling matches as teams battled for supremacy and a coveted spot in the National Championship in Tampa, Florida.

place, respectively. The 15u division was equally competitive, with Los Compadritos ultimately claiming the top spot. Camden FC and Americus United showcased their talent, finishing as runners-up and third place, respectively.
The Men's Open division delivered high-octane action, with FC Daffin dominating the competition to secure the championship title. Bayern Neverlusen and Americus United put up a valiant effort, finishing second and third, respectively.
