Toombs County Grand Jury Indicts 22 Cases

The Toombs County Grand Jury met on July 15 and returned 22 true bills of indictment.
In these indictments are two cases of smuggling items to inmates at the Rogers State Prison in Reidsville. Christopher Gerald Brown reportedly gave an inmate tobacco, vapes, lighters, and rolling papers on February 27. He is charged with a single count of furnishing prohibited items to inmates.
According to authorities, Adrian Aguilar Alavarez and Denis Leonel Estuardo-Guepop committed a similar crime, as they are accused of continued from page
sneaking a cell phone and tobacco to the prison’s inmates on May 7. Upon being arrested for the crime, the pair also allegedly had marijuana in their possession, costing them an additional charge. Ultimately, the men are each charged with two counts of furnishing prohibited items to inmates and one count of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Other cases indicted included:
• Louis Perry Skates: failure to register as a sex offender
• Joshua Donovan Jones: aggravated assault; aggravated battery; possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony (incident on January 30, 2024)

• Tyshawn Maurice Calloway: burglary in the second degree; theft by taking
• Tomas Garcia, Jr.: enticing a child for indecent purposes; statutory rape; sexual exploitation of children (2 counts)
• Dylan Lane O’Neal: aggravated assault; possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony; terroristic threats
• Brandon Tygart Fussell: exploitation of an elderly person; terroristic threats; battery (family violence)
• Jonathan Henry Morris: theft by receiving stolen property
• Brandon Leon Hamilton: theft by receiving stolen property
• Shaquon Marques Smith: aggravated assault; burglary in the second degree • Dontea Terrell Lewis: terroristic threats
• Jivone Kair Joseph: possession of methamphetamine; theft by shoplifting • Steven Lamont Way: possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; theft by taking (two counts)
• Venus Denise Smart: aggravated battery (family violence); aggravated assault (two counts) (family violence); cruelty to children in the third degree
• Zekoiya Kelis Montgomery: aggravated assault; terroristic threats; criminal damage to property in the second degree; battery (family violence); cruelty to children in the third degree
• Jonathan Skyler Zamorano: fleeing/attempting to elude a police officer
• Miller Ray Lomaneck: theft by taking; fleeing/ attempting to elude a police officer
• Brian Jason Beasley: false imprisonment (2 counts); terroristic threats (2 counts)
• Danielle Nicole Deen: cruelty to children in the first degree
• Benjamin Ray Burton: sale of methamphetamine All accused are innocent until proven guilty. Indicted individuals will now begin the process of submitting their plea to determine their next steps within the court system.
