The Montgomery County High School Eagle Band will take audiences back in time this season, as they play a show dedicated to the Wild West.

According to Band Director Emily Gibson, audiences can expect to hear Bon Jovi classics, such as “You Give Love A Bad Name,” “Wanted Dead or Alive,” and “Livin’ On A Prayer.” “We have grown in the last 5 years. We are looking forward to a great year,” Gibson remarked.

She is assisted in leading the band by Color Guard Coaches Christy Carter and Neida Agustin. In addition to these adult leaders, several students also help to lead the band, including Band Captain/ Brass Captain Jared Lugo, Woodwind Captain Emily Morrison, Uniform Officer Alex Autry, Equipment Officer Chris Blackburn, Personnel Officer Daniel Johnson, Low Brass Officer Hilton Williams, and Librarian Jamie Brown.

Max Barrow will be returning as the band’s Drum Major. This season marks the senior’s third season in this role. “I have taught Max since he was in 7th grade. He is a senior this year. He does a great job directing in the stands and on the field,” Director Gibson commented.

She shared her enthusiasm for the upcoming year, saying, “I am very excited to see my new marching band members learn during their first season.”
