Toombs County Schools Announce Annual Community Tailgate

The Toombs County School System has officially announced that the high school football season will kick off with the annual Community Tailgate event on Friday, August 23, in downtown Lyons.

According to the school system, this event allows the public to celebrate Toombs County Bulldog Athletics and to partake in local businesses as everyone shops and eats prior to the game. Businesses and organizations are encouraged to take part in this event by setting up a table or area along the downtown sidewalks. Any group interested in participating in this way is asked to contact the school’s board office.
