Lyons Citizen of the Year

The Lyons Lions Club and City of Lyons will host the annual Lyons Citizen of the Year celebration at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, at the Callaway Community Center. They are currently accepting nominations for the award. Nomination forms may be picked up at Lyons City Hall, or the Lyons branches of Peoples Bank, Vidalia Federal Savings Bank, and Ameris Bank.

Book Sale

The Friends of the Library is hosting a book sale at the Dr.

Mark and Tonya Spivey Public Library on August 29-31. A wide selection of books will be available for purchase. The sale will run from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on August 2920, and from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on August 31. For more information, call (912) 537-9283.

Story Time

The Montgomery County Public Library, located at 215 S.

Railroad Avenue in Mt. Vernon, will host Story Time for children ages birth until 5 at 11 a.m. every Monday.
