In a joint ceremony, Southeastern Technical College (STC) pinned the Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) Bridge Option graduates from the Swainsboro campus and the Practical Nursing (PN) Vidalia campus graduates on August 5, 2024, in Vidalia’s Toombs Auditorium.

Southeastern Tech faculty and staff honored the accomplishments of the graduates before an assembled crowd of friends and family. The ceremony recognized the important contribution of friends and family supporting these students throughout their education.

The members of the ASN graduating class are Megan Bell and Niketrest Hopkins from Waynesboro, Stephanie Brown from Alamo, Jenna Kate Burke and Allison Strange from Twin City, Tiffany Cobb from Millen, Kaelin Conley from Gainsville, Samanta Dixon from Vidalia, Tiffany Emsweller from Rincon, Hannah Foskey from Lyons, Danielle Humphrey from Claxton, Justice Jarriel, Leticia Sanchez, and Rodeisha Woods from Glennville, Andrika Johnson from Swainsboro, Emiley Kennedy from Collins, Virginia Lawrence from Kite, Hannah LeCroy and Lindsey Turner from Statesboro, LeKisha Nesmith from Sylvania, Marina Sanders from Cobbtown, Hayley Taylor from Metter, Kayla Walk from Stillmore, Brantley Williamson from Grovetown, and Cole Williamson and Gina Williamson from Sparta.

The members of the PN graduating class are Tiffany Gunter and Caleb Williams from Vidalia, Hayleigh Hall from Baxley, Sharena Lewis from Midville, Courtney Luke and Mercedes Rogers from Lyons, Alexandria Summerlin from Hazlehurst, and Deana Wadley from Soperton.

Seventeen students in this Associate of Science in Nursing class are graduates of the Practical Nursing program at STC and returned to bridge into becoming registered nurses. Six graduates began as Nurse Aide students and have now earned a seat for the NCLEX to become licensed or registered nurses.

In nursing school tradition, pins were placed on each student and the class recited the nurse’s pledge of service – signifying their entrance into their new ranks.

ASN Instructor Ginny Ennis said, “I am inspired by this group and fortunate to be part of building the next generation. STC has a very clear mission of providing an excellent workforce to our communities. I like the way it is executed in reality.”
