Wardlaw Appointed to Vidalia Housing Authority Board

The Vidalia City Council officially named the newest member of the Vidalia Housing Authority Board of Commissioners at its regular monthly meeting on Monday, August 12, as Sarah Wardlaw was selected to succeed Shanna Burkett.
“Sarah's commitment to the Vidalia community and her deep-rooted desire to empower individuals make her a valuable addition to our Board of Commissioners,” Vidalia Housing Authority Executive Director Tyler Salter remarked. “Sarah will play a vital role in developing and implementing key programs and incentives we are planning to benefit our residents and the City of Vidalia at-large.”
Wardlaw has extensive experience in human resources, as her career has spanned over two decades. Previously, she has been recognized for her integrity and servitude, and states she is committed to being a resource for people, driven by her desire to educate, support, and help others reach their fullest potential and is passionate about developing those within her own community.
She is a Certified Human Resource Professional through the Society for Human Resource Management. She holds a Master’s Degree in Jurisprudence with a specialization in Labor and Employment Law from Tulane University Law School, and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business and Human Resources from Walden University. Wardlaw is a graduate of the 2022-2023 Greater Vidalia Leadership, and founded Integral HR Partners, LLC, in 2023 to offer human resource consulting services.
In the community, Wardlaw works to foster professional development through her volunteer work with the Greater Vidalia Youth Leadership program. She and her husband, the Rev. Carl Wardlaw III, have been married for 22 years and are the parents of four daughters: Makaila, Moriah, Mischa, and Malana. They are active members of First African Missionary Baptist Church and enjoy spending time together in ministry, traveling, and creating lasting memories as a family.
Wardlaw’s term will begin immediately and will expire in August 2028.
