VHS Volleyball Has Tough Week
It was a rough week for the Vidalia High School volleyball team last week as they dropped matches on Tuesday to St. Vincent's and Savannah Christian, and then on Thursday they fell to Glynn Academy and Savannah Country Day.
Tuesday
The Lady Indians lost in straight sets to the Saints. St. Vincent's took the first set 25-7, and then won the second, 25-10.
In the second match of the day, VHS fell behind early to Savannah Christian. VHS lost the first set, 25-2. The second set was closer, but the Lady Raiders went on to win, 25-14.
Thursday
VHS faced a tough Lady Terror team from Glynn Academy on Thursday. The Terrors won the first set, 25-7, and took the second by the score of 256.
In the final match of the week the Lady Indians played better, but lost to the Lady Hornets of Savannah Country Day. The Hornets took the first set, 25-18, and then won the second, 25-12.
VHS is now 3-5 on the season, and 1-3 in Region action. This week they hosted Brantley County and Bryan County on Tuesday after presstime. They will be at Dublin on Thursday with the match at 5:00 p.m.
