VPD Searching for Shoplifting Suspect

The Vidalia Police Department is looking for the last of three suspects who allegedly stole from several downtown stores on Wednesday, August 21.

According to the Vidalia Police Department (VPD), several stores in the historic Vidalia downtown area were victims of shoplifting, as three individuals – two males and a female – traveled through the area. Descriptions of the individuals were shared with the public, and on Thursday morning, August 22, the VPD received a call that one of the suspects was in the area of Jackson and 2nd Streets.

Police arrived and located the man, who was later identified as Justin Fulmer, 24, of Metter. While having detained Fulmer and gaining information at the scene, the female suspect – later identified as Diamond Lee, 18, of Vidalia – approached officers. She was also detained for her alleged involvement in the thefts, and the pair were later transported to the Toombs County Detention Center, where they remain with charges of felony theft by shoplifting and theft by deception.

Officers are continuing to search for the third suspect, who has been identified as Lashun Clarke, 54, of Vidalia. Clark has active warrants out for his involvement in this case.
