Brewton-Parker College is excited to announce new additions to the athletic department before the 2024-25 Season. BPC is bringing on four new assistant coaches and a new assistant sports information director. The New Coaches are Dakota Connell, Caleb Lanoux, Nicolas Mayanguila Mboungou, and Deon Williams. Ryan Feaster joins Brewton- Parker College as the new Assistant Sports Information Director.
Dakota Connell is from Glenwood, Georgia, attended Brewton-Parker College, and played on the baseball team for Coach Larson while earning a degree in Exercise Science. Coach Larson offered Dakota an assistant coaching position after graduating in the spring of 2024. When asked what he most looked forward to, Dakota shared, “I’m excited to see the transition from player to coach and get the opportunity to lead and share my faith with those around me.” We hope to see great success from Caleb and Dakota in bringing new energy to the Barons this year. The Baseball team is excited to welcome Caleb Lanoux to the staff. Caleb is from Jacksonville, Florida, and joins the BPC family after being the assistant coach at Middle Georgia State. We asked Caleb what brought him to BPC, and he shared, “I look forward to the opportunity to work with pitchers and catchers and help grow this program into something special.”
Nicolas (Nico) Mayanguila Mboungou joins the Men’s soccer coaching staff this year. Nico is originally from the Republic of Congo in Central Africa. Soccer and art are his passions. He started playing soccer at a young age and played at Multnomah University and Louisiana State at Alexandria before an ACL tear sidelined him. This injury led him to the coaching path, and he is excited to join the Brewton- Parker College staff. “I am excited to be involved in soccer at an environment that will get me connected more to God and, of course, the people around us.”
Deon Williams rejoins the BPC family after his first stint here in the 2022-23 season. Deon joins Coach Leonard Epps to help coach the Men’s Basketball team. Deon is from Aurora, Colorado, and played JUCO Ball at Lamar Community College in Lamar, Colorado. When asked what brought him back, he shared, “I came back to help change the lives of student-athletes by embracing Christ as well as our love of the game of basketball. I’m looking forward to continuing to create change in BPC MBB culture that will not only reflect in the wins column but also in the lives of the young men on the team.”
BPC added that they look forward to seeing their teams grow this year and hope their new coaches can bring success to their teams. Ryan Feaster joins the BPC family after graduating from Florida State University in 2023 and is excited to help elevate and get more exposure to the athletic department. The Barons are excited to welcome these new faces to the athletic department for the upcoming 202425 season. They hope to see great success for all their teams this year.
