Lyons Citizen of the Year
The Lyons Lions Club and City of Lyons will host the annual Lyons Citizen of the Year celebration at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, at the Callaway Community Center.
They are currently accepting nominations for the award.
Nomination forms may be picked up at Lyons City Hall, or the Lyons branches of Peoples Bank, Vidalia Federal Savings Bank, and Ameris Bank. Tickets for the event are also now available for purchase at theses same locations.
Lip Sync Battle
The Altama Museum of Art & History is hosting a Lip Sync Battle fundraiser at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, at Southeastern Technical College. The public is invited to come witness local businesses and citizens put on a show as they compete for the prize of Battle of the Brush champions. Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased by calling the Altama at (912) 537-1911.
Story Time
The Montgomery County Public Library, located at 215 S.
Railroad Avenue in Mt. Vernon, will host Story Time for children ages birth until 5 at 11 a.m. every Monday. For more information, call (912) 583-2780.
