Paisley McCranie took the win in the circle for Wheeler.

Vs. FPCA

Wheeler was in Hinesville on Wednesday to face off with the Lady Highlanders of the GIAA. Wheeler rolled to a win with Kaleigh Scott hitting two balls out of the park on the way to a 5-RBI day to lead the Bulldogs past FPCA.

In the first inning, Wheeler loaded the bases, but could only get one run across, which came when Dixon walked to put Wheeler on top 1-0. Wheeler added to that lead in the top of the second inning with three more runs. Molly Wright drove in a run, another run scored on an error, and Dixon brought in the third run of the frame to give Wheeler a 4-0 lead.

In the third inning, Kaleigh Scott hit one of her two home runs, it was a solo shot, and Wright brought in two runs on a sacrifice. That pushed the lead to 7-0.

In the fourth inning the Bulldogs pulled away with six more runs, with the big shot being a grand slam by Kaleigh Scott to left field. Anna Beth Ethredge added an RBI as did Laurie Conner.

Shelley Conner got the win in the circle as she threw a no-hitter while striking out six batters.

Vs. RTCA

Wheeler wrapped up the week with a win over RTCA on Thursday in Alamo. RTCA took the early lead with a two-run home run in the top of the first inning, but Wheeler answered in the bottom of the frame with three runs. Wheeler had tied the game at 2-2, and then an RBI from Johnson put them on top, 3-2, heading to the second inning.

Wheeler added a run in the third inning on an RBI single by Kyleigh Horne to take a 4-2 lead. RTCA closed that lead to 4-3 in the top of the fourth inning, but Wheeler pulled away in the bottom half as they plated four more runs to take an 8-3 lead.
