VHS Volleyball Wins 2 Matches

The Vidalia High School volleyball team hosted Brantley County and Bryan County last Tuesday and then traveled to Dublin to take on the Fighting Irish on Thursday of last week. VHS split their games on Tuesday and won over Dublin to cap off the week. VHS is now 5-6 on the season, and they are 2-4 in Region play.

Vs. Brantley

VHS took on the Lady Herons of Brantley County in their first match on Tuesday. It was a tough matchup, but the Lady Indians pulled out the win.

In the first set of the match, the Herons took the win over VHS, 25-19. VHS fought back in the second set to take a 25-12 win, and to force a third set.

In that third and deciding set, the Indians took the win, 15-10, to win the match, 2-1.

Vs. Bryan

In the second match of the day, the Indians took on the Redskins of Bryan County. In this match, it was VHS that came out of the gate and took the first set, 25-19.

But Bryan came back with a win in the second set, 25-21, and then won the third set 15-10, to take the match, 2-1.

Vs. Dublin

In the final match of the week, the Indians faced off with Dublin on the road. VHS took the match in straight sets, 2- 0.

VHS won the first set, 25-11, and took the second set, 25-16, to win the match over the Fighting Irish.

This week VHS will be at Woodville-Tompkins on Wednesday to take on Woodville and The Habersham School with the first game at 5:00 p.m.
