The Barons did their best but were outmatched from start to finish and suffered a tough 8-0 loss to the Bethel Coach Bob Neuman shared his thoughts after the game with us. 'We lacked personality, passion, and character in the first half. If we're going to grow into the team we want to be, we will need to prove our quality on a nightly basis. The guys will take the brighter pieces and positive performance in the second half into the next game.'

The Barons held off the Wildcats for 17 minutes before the floodgates opened. They faced a barrage of shots in the first half and gave up six goals. The Barons did their best to compete but struggled to gain ground. Emroy McKenzie was given a yellow card in the first half. The Barons only managed one shot on net in the first half.

The Barons Soccer team traveled to Freed-Hardeman University hoping to end their losing streak and start a turnaround in the season. Sadly, the Lions had other plans and defeated the Barons 2-0. The Barons showed a much stronger performance in the first half and managed to hold off the Lions until 16 minutes into the second half.

Coach Neuman shared his opinion on his team's performance. 'The boys worked their socks off in the first 45 minutes. Defensively, very resolute, and difficult to break down. Unfortunately, with a few key players missing and some injuries sustained during the trip this week, we lacked the necessary depth to succeed for the whole 90 minutes. It will be good to get back to Mount Vernon and hopefully get some guy's treatment they need to get back to their best.'

The Barons had a clean slate for the entire first half and matched well enough to prevent the Lions from scoring despite their eight shots in the first half. Gerardo Morales made three saves in the first half. The Barons led in corner kicks three to two. The Lions outshot the Barons in the first half eight to three.
