half, and six plays later, Jamarion Phillips scored his second touchdown of the night on an 18-yard run. This gave the Indians a 22-0 lead with 9:38 to go in the third quarter, following a Phillips run for a 2-point conversion following a Brantley Penalty.

On the first play from scrimmage following the kick, the Herons fumbled the ball on their 47-yard line, with the Indians making a recovery. On the first play for the Indians, Jackson Berry hit DJ Wallace on a 47-yard touchdown strike to give Vidalia a 30-0 lead with 9:13 to go in the third quarter following another 2-point conversion run by Phillips.

Neither team scored any points during the remainder of the third quarter, and for the second week in a row, the fourth quarter was played with a running clock. The Indians’ offense amassed 268 yards, while their defense held Brantley County to 132 yards, with most of those yards coming after the game had been decided. Phillips ended the night with over 100 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

Up next, the Indians will travel to Eastman to face Dodge County at John M. Peacock Field on Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
