Brewton-Parker College sent three teams to Lake Hartwell last weekend for the Palmetto Boat Center College Tournament Trail event. The Barons had a good showing going up against teams from Erskine, Lander, USC, Emmanuel, University of South Carolina, Clemson, LSU, and NC State, to name a few.

The Barons sent three boats, and the BPC teams placed 12, 16, and 17 out of 18 at the event. All of our teams managed to catch enough fish to weigh in officially, and while they may not have cracked the top ten, they had a great start to the season and can bring this momentum into their future tournaments.

Max Johnson and Fisher Carver led the day for the Barons, catching five fish with a total net weight of 6.04 lbs. Hunter Richie caught three and had a net weight of 3.97lbs. Cohen Cravey and Gracie Landrum caught three with a net weight of 3.68lbs.

Coach Madison Herrin shared his thoughts on the team's first tournament and how he hopes they grow from here. “We are excited to get the season underway. We have a young team with some great senior leadership. We had a great showing with our freshman and believe this will be a great season.”

The Barons look to get back in action on September 21, at the Kentucky Lake Big Bass Bash.
