VHS Volleyball Splits Matches
The Vidalia High School volleyball team played two matches last week as they took a win over McIntosh County Academy, but fell to rival Toombs County. VHS is now 6-9 overall and they are 3-6 in Region play. vs. MCA
The Lady Indians took the win over the Lady Buccaneers in straight sets. VHS came out strong in the first set of the match and pulled away to a 25-17 win over MCA.
After that first set win, MCA was down, and VHS took advantage as they rolled off the first 11 straight points of the second set to take it by the mercy rule, 11-0. vs. Toombs
Vidalia played a good match against their rival, but could not come away with the win. VHS took the first set 25-13, and looked like they were in control with the big win. But in the second set, the Bulldogs came back with a 25-15 win over VHS to force a third set.
In that third set, it was close, but Toombs came out on top, 15-11, to secure the match, 2-1.
VHS will be back in action this week with a tri-match against Savannah High and Toombs County on Thursday at Savannah High.
