Crisis Clean-Up has established a Hurricane Helene Clean-Up Hotline for all individuals within the state who need help cleaning storm damage. This hot line will connect callers with volunteers from local relief organizations, community, groups, or churches who may be able to assist with trees, tarping, or debris. Pickup
Toombs and Montgomery County residents may place their storm debris in piles next to the right-ofway to be picked up by an outside contractor.
Burn Ban
Montgomery, Treutlen, Toombs, and Wheeler Counties have declared a countywide burn ban.
Sweet
Saturday
The Downtown Vidalia Association will host a Sweet Saturday event from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Ronnie A. Dixon City Park in Vidalia on Saturday, October 12. This event will feature a community prayer and worship service led by local pastors and musicians, followed by a performance by Lava Lamp. Food trucks will also be available.
