Trippe Runs At Region

The JR Trippe Middle School Chiefs Cross Country Team competed in the Middle Georgia Middle School Region Championship meet at Bleckley County and brought home a Champion as well as three individual placers.

6th Grade Ginny Meredith won the Championship race with a 45 second lead over her competition while Ella Allen placed 11th. Wyatt Vassey continues to improve on his time each week and placed 3rd while Peyton Coursey placed 18th.

The girls team of Ginny Meredith, Ella Allen, Sophie English, Analeigh English and Zoey Achenback placed 4th. The boys also finished 4th as a team with team members Wyatt Vassey, Peyton Coursey, Champ Sharpton, Anthony Roach, Kartel Lane, Fisher Mobley, Knox Overstreet Coach Mandyd Godbee said, “I am extremely proud of their efforts throughout the season and their perseverance to step back on the line after the storm, but these kids ran their heart out and showed just how tough and resilient they are. Ginny Meredith continues to impress us each and every time she races. She is one of the top middle school runners in the state. She is so exciting to watch! Wyatt Vassey has continued to compete at a very high level and will be a major contributor to our high school team next year.”

These athletes have been chosen to run at the Middle School State Meet Saturday at Bleckley County and they are prepared for big results.
