According to Criswell, the purpose of these Disaster Relief Centers is to provide one-on-one help for Georgians affected by the hurricane. Currently, there are 6 total Centers set up in the state.
“People do not have to be from Toombs County to utilize the Toombs County DRC,” Criswell emphasized. “If you are a Georgian who went through the storm, you can utilize this center.”
For those who are unable to come to the Center during its available hours, Criswell suggests submitting a disaster relief application online at disasterassistance. gov, on the FEMA mobile app, or by calling 1 (800) 621-3362.
