The Toombs County High School Lady Bulldogs volleyball team traveled to Macon on Wednesday afternoon of last week to face ACE Charter (Academy for Classical Education) in the first round of the State Tournament. Toombs County started strong, winning the first set 26-24, but couldn’t maintain the momentum, ultimately losing the next three sets (25-12, 25-16, 25-16).

The match marked the end of the season, and the Lady NetDawgs took a moment to thank their four seniors for their contributions to the program over the years.

Senior Makayla Brewton was a force all over the court, making numerous plays both on and off the stat sheet. She recorded 5 service points, 6 digs, and 3 blocks in her final game. Senior Madison Brown added 4 service points, 1 block, and 1 kill. Senior Maritza Zamorano led the team with 7 assists, while Elida Cruz chipped in with 4 service points and 1 dig.

Arianna Hill: 2 service points, 1 block, 4 digs, 8 kills. Gracie Petersen: 3 service points, 1 ace, 1 kill, 7 digs. Emma Wright: 7 service points, 3 aces, 4 digs, 4 assists.

The Lady NetDawgs finished the season with an 11-15 overall record and an 8-5 Region record, securing their 8th consecutive trip to the State Tournament. Special thanks to the first-year coaching staff—Kristin Allen, Victoria Beasley, and Todd Allen—for guiding the team through a successful season.
