mrandolphadvance@gmail.com

The Toombs County Grand Jury reconvened for another session of indictment reviews on Tuesday, October 22, during which they returned 9 true bills of indictment.

Among these 9 true bills was the indictment of Extavious Tyion Hill, who is accused of breaking into 3 cars between June 11 and 15, 2023. He faces 3 counts of entering an automobile and 1 count of theft by taking.

Hill was previously indicted with 8 counts of entering an automobile earlier this year for his alleged actions in December 2022, when several vehicles within Toombs County were broken into. At the time of the first indictment, investigators suspected that the same individuals responsible for the December 2022 thefts were involved in the June 2023 break-ins, as the same type of items were missing – multiple firearms, credit cards, cash, and other miscellaneous items.

Enough evidence was collected to charge Hill with the crime. He now will begin the process of entering a formal plea to determine his next steps within the judicial system.

Other indictments issued during the session included: • Kaitlyn Elizabeth Riner: burglary in the first degree • Emmanuel Lee Wil liams: criminal attempt to commit theft by taking • Demetric Moultry McCall: theft by receiving stolen property; theft by deception; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon • Phyllis Yvonne Col lins: aggravated stalking • Sean Leve Smith: ag gravated battery; aggravated assault • Justin Turnage: statu tory rape (2 counts); enticing a child for indecent purposes (2 counts) • Monique Louise Jones: aggravated assault (family violence) • Richard Wayne Gard ner: aggravated assault; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon These individuals will enter their pleas to the court to determine whether they will go to trial or a sentencing hearing,
