Two Airlifted in Johnson Corner Wreck

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a wreck which caused two people to be airlifted on Sunday night, October 20.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, a 2006 Chevy Silverado was traveling south on Johnson Corner Road in Toombs County on October 20, as a 2011 Ford Fusion was traveling north on the same roadway. The driver of the Silverado failed to maintain his/her lane, causing the vehicle to cross the centerline and hit the Fusion head-on.
Between both vehicles, a total of 5 occupants were taken to the hospital with injuries – 3 people were transported to Memorial Health Meadows Hospital by ambulance, while the remaining 2 were airlifted to other hospitals because of suspected serious injuries.
The identities of the vehicles’ drivers and occupants have not been released. Charges are pending regarding the crash.
