The Vidalia Indians took a squad to Carrollton to compete in the GHSA state Cross Country Championships and came up big for the second year in a row.
The Indians were led by Abrien Anthony to secure a 4th place finish behind Bleckley County, Armuchee and Bremen. This year they seemed to be the underdogs but came up big on race day narrowly defeating Jeff Davis for the final podium spot.
Other members of the squad who ran were Simon Collins, Cash Driggers, Jordan Johnson, Chamlee Evans, Roderick Berry, Liam MacGregor, and Nick Foskey.
Coach Godbee stated, “These athletes have grown and improved exponentially throughout the season. They have overcome numerous obstacles and challenges, but they stayed focused and diligent. As a coach, I could not be more proud of them, it has been a joy and honor coaching them throughout the season!”
