Eagles Defeat Dooly In Final Game
The Montgomery County High School Eagles football team closed out their season with a win over the Bobcats of Dooly County. The Eagles took the win to close out the season with a record of 3-7 overall, and 1-5 in Region play.
The game was tied 6-6 at the end of the first quarter. The Eagles added a touchdown with six minutes to go in the first half to take a 12-6 lead, but the Bobcats came back with a touchdown and a field goal late in the half to hold a 1612 lead at halftime over MCHS.
In the third quarter, the Eagles scored two more times as they took the lead back and went ahead 26-16 heading to the fourth quarter.
In the fourth, Montgomery added a touchdown and a two-point conversion, while holding the Bobcats to just one score. That gave MCHS the win, 34-22.
The Eagles will now look toward next season as they work to make improvements and get better
