“I am very honored and humbled to be recognized for this award,” he reacted. “I love what I do and I enjoy working with the staff, students, and administration of Toombs County High School. Go dogs!”

Toombs County High School Principal Marissa Morris also spoke on the honor, saying, “Mr. Bush is a phenomenal teacher who is very deserving of this prestigious award. We are very proud of him!”

Superintendent Barry Waller added, 'We are blessed to have Mr. Bush as a teacher in our system. His innovative strategies and ability to connect with kids create a positive learning environment in his classroom. Jess works tirelessly, along with his peers at TCHS, to make our schools a great place for our students to be successful as we prepare them for life.'

Bush will travel to St. Louis, Missouri, in April to receive the award.
