DRUG-FREE COMMITMENT — In Ms. Cowans' second-grade class at Wheeler County Elementary School, students explored how serotonin, a natural chemical messenger, contributes to feelings of happiness. Mrs. Schaffer guided them through an engaging activity that demonstrated how harmful substances can negatively impact our bodies and health. Following these lessons, students collectively created a classroom pledge chain, symbolizing their commitment to staying drug-free.
