Barons Face Dalton State

In a heated conference basketball encounter held last Thursday in Mount Vernon, the Brewton-Parker Barons men's basketball team faced a challenging game against the Dalton State Roadrunners. Despite a spirited performance, the Barons were unable to secure a win, ending the game with a final score of 75-88 in favor of the Roadrunners.

The game started on a competitive note, with both teams eager to establish dominance early on. The Barons faced a significant challenge as they trailed at halftime with a score of 33-48. Throughout the game, Brewton-Parker struggled to catch up despite strong efforts and standout performances from several players. Dre Burroughs led the scoring effort for the Barons with 18 points, followed closely by Tommy Tisdale III, who not only scored 15 points but also grabbed a remarkable 14 rebounds. Other notable contributions came from Sam Faraday-Bensley with 11 points and Bobby Blackwell III, who added vital points and rebounds to the team's effort.

The Barons now hold a season record of 4-3 and a conference tally of 1-1. Looking forward, they are set to face Keiser University at an away game scheduled for November 26, 2024.
