A teen is in custody after a shooting at McDonald’s in Vidalia that left one man injured on Tuesday night, November 26.

Officers were dispatched to McDonald’s at 7:48 p.m. on November 26 in reports of shots fired at the restaurant. While the police probed the scene, officers were notified that a man suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound was being treated at the Memorial Health Meadows Hospital Emergency Room. This patient – Kyree Williams, 21, of Vidalia – was determined to be the victim.

to identify the suspect – 17-year-old Antoreyun McClelland — while still at the crime scene, and quickly took him into custody at the Vidalia Police Department, where he was temporarily held for questioning. He remains at the Toombs County Detention Center on an aggravated assault charge.

The incident is still under investigation; anyone with information on the case is asked to call the Vidalia Police Department Investigative Services Division at (912) 537-4123.
