In the wake of Hurricane Helene, community partners Lanza-Jet and LanzaTech have stepped forward to support Soperton and Treutlen County by establishing the Treutlen County Relief Fund. This initiative aims to provide immediate financial assistance to residents affected by the hurricane.

LanzaJet, a Soperton-based facility producing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable diesel fuel using low-carbon ethanol, and LanzaTech, a company enabling SAF production, have kickstarted the fund with a generous $100,000 donation. The Relief Fund is available to all Soperton and Treutlen County residents living in the area during the hurricane. Eligible expenses covered by the fund include evacuation costs, temporary housing rent (up to 30 days), repairs to damaged property, essential utilities (gas, water, electricity), public transportation or rental car expenses, and unexpected childcare.
