Head Coach Steve Edwards noted the team's robust defensive effort and the valuable experience gained from playing against a top-tier team. 'Today was one of our best defensive performances. We had numerous opportunities to tie or take the lead. Bethel is a top 16 team nationally, and they are well-coached,' Edwards said. He highlighted the importance of executing under pressure, 'Our preparation was good, and we executed well the majority of the game. It's important to make plays late, and Bethel made a few more plays today.' vs. Freed-Hardeman In a disappointing non-conference loss, the Lady Barons fell to the Freed-Hardeman Lions 43-65 on December 14, 2024. Our issue right now is finishing around the basket and shooting,' Coach Edwards commented. Despite the current struggles, he remains optimistic about overcoming the tough phase, 'We are in a tough grind right now, but we will work through it.'
Looking ahead, the Lady Barons look to regroup and re-find their rhythm. They faced ABAC on Tuesday of this week after presstime. BPC has a record of 5-7, and they are 1-1 in conference play.
