that she can be. Watching her accomplish this incredible milestone and to help her facilitate this milestone after having done it myself is pretty special. In fact, I think it’s more special to see one of your players do it, than doing it yourself.”

Boys vs. Toombs

In a thrilling Region showdown, Vidalia edged out their rivals, Toombs County, with a hardfought 41-36 victory. The game was a backand- forth battle, with both teams trading leads throughout, but it was Jayon Coleman who stole the spotlight. Coleman was nothing short of outstanding, leading all scorers with an impressive 26 points, proving to be the difference-maker down the stretch.

The game was tightly contested until the final minutes, but the Indians took control late in the 4th quarter, securing the lead for good. The atmosphere was electric, with a huge crowd on hand to witness the intense rivalry clash.

This was a low scoring boys game between the Bulldogs and the Indians. Toombs was on top 8-5 at the end of the first quarter. In the second, both teams were a little better on offense, but at the end of the first half the Toombs was in front, 20-19.

They kept pace in the third quarter with the Bulldogs hanging onto a 31-30 lead heading to the fourth. But in the fourth quarter, the Indians outscored Toombs, 11-5, to take the win, 41-36.

Girls vs. Ware

It was a big first quarter for the Lady Gators that was the difference in this game. Ware jumped out to a 22-2 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. They added to that lead in the second, and took the game to halftime with a 43-14 lead.

In the third quarter, Ware extended their lead to 56-21, and they went on to win the game over the Lady Indians, 60-32.

Boys vs. Ware

The boys game started out in similar fashion as the Gators pulled ahead to a 16-5 lead in the first quarter. They pushed their lead to 32-15 by the end of the first half.

Ware kept up the pressure in the third quarter to take a 46-23 lead into the fourth. Ware took the win over VHS, 61-36.

This week the Lady Indians took on St. Vincent's on Tuesday after presstime. The boys will host Long County on Thursday at 6:15 p.m.
