RTCA Cruises Past John Hancock

The Robert Toombs Christian Academy Crusaders basketball teams rolled to wins over John Hancock's Rebels last week at home on Thursday. Both the boys and girls dominated their games on the way to easy wins. Girls vs. John Hancock

RTCA got off to a bit of a slow start, but they still held a 9-2 lead by the end of the first quarter. In the second, they opened up the game as they pulled away to a 21-6 halftime lead.

In the third quarter, the defense did not allow the Lady Rebels to score a single point as RTCA pushed their lead to 35-6. RTCA went on to win the game, 46-15.

RTCA was led by Amelia Mercer and Meredith Durden, each with

10 points.

Boys vs. John Hancock

The boys also ran away with their game over the Rebels. RTCA cruised to a 70-37 victory.

The Lady Crusaders are 9-8 on the season while the boys are now 9-6. This week RTCA will host Pinewood Christian on Thursday with the games beginning at 6:00 p.m.
