Treutlen Over Montgomery

The Montgomery County High School Eagles and the Treutlen County High School Vikings basketball teams met up last week on Saturday in Mt. Vernon. Treutlen got the better of the Eagles in both games.

Girls

Treutlen came out of the gate with a hot hand, and never let the Lady Eagles get their offense going. By the end of the first quarter, the score was 20-8 with the Lady Vikings out in front. Treutlen pushed that lead to 49-12 by the end of the first half.

In the third quarter, the Lady Eagles were kept off the board as Treutlen went ahead, 59-12. The Lady Vikings went on to win the game, 77-17.

Boys

In the boys game, the Vikings rolled to an easy win, 84-57, over the Eagles.

The Lady Vikings are 6-7 on the season and are 3-4 in Region action. The boys are 8-5 on the season and are 5-2 in Region games. This week Treutlen played Hawkinsville on Tuesday after presstime. They will be back in action on Thursday at home against Jenkins Conty at 6:00 p.m., and then on Saturday at East Laurens at 5:00 p.m.

The Lady Eagles are now 2-13 on the year and are 0-6 in Region play. The boys team is 5-10 on the year, and they are 3-3 in Region play. This week MCHS was at Claxton on Tuesday after presstime. They will take on Wheeler County on Friday in Alamo at 6:00 p.m., and then will host Citizens Christian on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
