Wheeler With Two Wins

The Bulldogs basketball teams of Wheeler County High School got two wins over Montgomery County and then the boys took a win from Dooly.

Girls vs. MCHS

It was all Wheeler in the girls' game in Alamo last Friday night. Wheeler pulled away early and went on to win the game over the Lady Eagles, 6627.

Boys vs. MCHS

Wheeler jumped out to an 11-5 lead in the first quarter, but in the second MCHS played better and closed that lead to 21-18 at halftime.

In the third quarter, Wheeler extended their lead to 39-28, and they went on to win the game over MCHS, 66-52.

Boys vs. Dooly

Dooly County had the early lead, and was on top, 16-14, at the end of the first quarter. In the second, Wheeler closed that lead to just one as Dooly held a 28-27 lead at halftime.

In the third quarter, the Bulldogs jumped ahead and were on top, 50-37, after outscoring Dooly 23-10. Wheeler extended their lead in the fourth and took the win, 63- 43.

The Lady Bulldogs are now 2-11 on the season, and they are 2-4 in Region play. The boys are 7-7 on the year and they are 5-2 in the Region. This week Wheeler will host Telfair County on Saturdayat 3:00 p.m.
