Tough Week For MCHS
The Eagles basketball teams of Montgomery County High School took on the Red Devils of Hawkinsville and the Tigers of Metter last week on the hardcourt. MCHS had a tough week as they dropped all of their games. Girls vs. Hawkinsville
The Lady Devils jumped out to a big lead in the first quarter of the game as they outscored the Lady Eagles 24-7 in the first. They added to that lead in the second quarter to take a 32-7 lead into halftime.
In the second half, Hawkinsville pulled away to take the win, 6121.
Boys vs. Hawkinsville
In the boys' contest, the Devils held a 19-15 lead at the end of the first quarter, but extended the lead to 34-24 by halftime.

held on to win the game, 66- 55.
Girls vs. Metter
It was all Metter in the girls' game as they jumped out to a 20-4 lead in the first quarter. They extended that lead to 4211 by halftime. In the second half, Metter slowed down, but still took the win, 56-22.
Boys vs. Metter
It was a good game between the boys, but MCHS fell just short of the Tigers. Metter took the win over MCHS, 6460.
The Lady Eagles are now 2-18 on the year and they are 0-8 in the Region, while the boys are 5-15 on the season and 3-5 in Region play.
This week MCHS will be at Telfair County on Friday and Treutlen on Saturday with both contests beginning at 6:00 p.m.
