RTCA Defeats Memorial

The Robert Toombs Christian Academy Crusaders basketball teams faced off with Citizens Christian Academy and Memorial Day last week, with the boys also taking on First Presbyterian Christian Academy.

Boys vs. FPCA

On Tuesday of last week, the boys took on FPCA on the road. It was a rough game for the Crusaders as FPCA ran away with the win. FPCA won the game over RTCA 78-36.

Girls vs. CCA

The Lady Crusaders fell to the Lady Patriots of CCA on Thursday in Douglas. CCA pulled away early and took the win over RTCA, 56-38.

Boys vs. CCA

In the boys' game, RTCA jumped out to a 10-4 lead in the first quarter of the game, but in the second, CCA came storming back. CCA outscored RTCA 21-13 to take a lead at halftime, 25- 23.

RTCA took the lead back in the third quarter, and were on top 41-34 heading to the fourth quarter. RTCA could not hold on, though, in the fourth as CCA pulled away to win the game, 58- 49. vs. Memorial

On Friday in Savannah, the Lady Crusaders pulled out a close win over the Lady Matadors. RTCA defeated Memorial 55- 50.

In the boys game, RTCA got the win over the Matadors as well. They beat Memorial 5845.

The Lady Crusaders are now 11-9 on the year and they are 1-1 in Region play, while the boys are 10-9 overall and are 1-2 in the Region.

This week RTCA hosted CCA on Tuesday after presstime. On Friday the boys will host FPCA at 7:30 p.m. and the girls will travel to Central Georgia Arts at 5:00 p.m.. They will wrap up the regular season next Tuesday at home against Memorial Day at 5:30 p.m.
