Wheeler Over Wilcox
The Wheeler County High School Bulldogs basketball teams faced off with Wilcox County and Dublin last week. The Lady Bulldogs dropped both of their games, and the boys scored a win over Wilcox County.

Wheeler gave it their all, but fell behind and could't catch up to the Lady Patriots. Wilcox came out and began to pull away on the way to a 55-36 victory.
Nikita James led the way with 16 points.
Boys vs Wilcox
In the boys game, it was Wheeler who held the early lead as they opened up a 25-7 in the first quarter. They added to that in the second, holding a 42-18 lead at halftime.
In the third quarter, Wheeler pushed their advantage to 56-27, and they went on to win the game 65-36.
Wheeler was led by Michael Wright with 17, Tyree Travis added 16, Quenshawn Glasper, and Reco Wooten scored 10 in the win.
Girls vs. Dublin
It was a close game between the Lady Bulldogs and the Lady Irish on Friday in Alamo. Wheeler gave it all they had, but they could not pull out the win in the end. Dublin claimed the victory, 51-48.
Boys vs. Dublin
The Bulldogs dropped their game to Dublin. Dublin led the game 25-16 after the first quarter, and were on top, 41-31, at halftime.
In the third quarter, Wheeler tried to keep it close, but Dublin kept pace and were leading 58-47 heading to the fourth. Dublin went on to win the game, 70-61.
Wheeler was led by Glasper and Travis who scored 18 points each. Wright added 16 in the loss. Wheeler will wrap the regualar season this week. The Lady Bulldogs are currently 3-14 on the year and are 3-6 in the Region. The boys are 9-8 on the season and are 7-2 in Region play. This week Wheeler was at Hawkinsville on Tuesday after presstime. They will be back in action on Friday at Montgomery County at 6:00 p.m., and will host Dooly County on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
