Three armed robbers stole over $130,000 worth of jewelry from Kay Jewelers in Vidalia on Wednesday afternoon, February 5.
According to the Vidalia Police Department, three black males with partially covered faces entered Kay Jewelers at around 5:07 p.m. on February 5. One of the men pulled a crowbar out of his jacket and used it to smash a display, and the men stole multiple pieces of jewelry before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. No one was hurt in the incident, and police assured the community that there was no ongoing threat to the area after the robbery. Investigators have continued to probe the case, and have developed several persons of interest in the incident.
