Pastor Anniversary—

First African Missionary Baptist Church, 206 Martin Luther King, Jr., Ave., Vidalia, will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their pastor, Dr. Carl Wardlaw, Jr., on February 23 at 2:00 p.m. The speaker will be Rev. Carl Wardlaw III and his pastorate, Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church.

Celebration Banquet—

First African Missionary Baptist Church will have a banquet to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their pastor, Dr. Carl Wardlaw, Jr., on February 22 at 6:30 p.m., at the Durden Cabin at Partin Park, 192 Callaway Cir., Lyons. Cost is $25, and attire is semi-formal.

Multi-Year Reunion—

The 8th Multi-Year Reunion for Collins High School will be held on March 29, 2025, at the old gym in Collins, for anyone who attended Collins High School. Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m., pictures of the classes at 12:00 noon, and a meal at 1:00 p.m.

Monthly Meeting—

The next meeting of the Four Rivers Chapter of the Society of the Sons of the American Revolution will be Thursday, February 21, in the back room of Chatters Restaurant in Lyons. Attendees should arrive around 6:15 p.m. if they wish to eat and fellowship; the meeting will begin at 7 p.m.

His Works Ministry Foodbank will have a Bingo evening on February 15, at 6:00 p.m., at Lyons Recreation Park, Octagon Building. Food will be available. Cards are $5.00 each. Buy 4 and fifth one free.

The Uvalda Community Choir will celebrate its 41st anniversary with a performance on February 16 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 201 Ottis Shipman Drive, Uvalda. The performance will begin at 2:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
