The Robert Toombs Christian Academy Crusaders basketball teams finished up the regular season last week and on Monday of this week. Last Tuesday the hosted Citizens’ Christian Academy, the girls were at Central Georgia Arts on Friday, and the boys hosted First Presbyterian Christian on Friday, and then both teams played against Memorial Day on Monday of this week to close out the regular season.
The girls finished the season with a record of 13-10, and they were 2-2 in Region play. The boys were 13-9 on the season and they were 4-2 in Region play. vs. CCA
It was a pair of close games against CCA on Tuesday of last week. The Lady Crusaders took the win over the Lady Patriots, 34-30.
The boys also won a close game over the Patriots as they came away with a 59-56 victory.
Girls vs. Georgia Arts
RTCA’s girls were in Macon on Friday to take on the Lady Mustangs of
Central Georgia Arts. RTCA pulled away early in this game and took the continued from page
win, 48-23.
Boys vs. FPCA
This was a close game throughout. RTCA was on top 19-17 with just over three minutes left in the first half of the game. RTCA extended that lead to 29-23, but the score at halftime was 29-25.
In the third quarter, with five minutes left, RTCA was up 37-34. The game remained close, but RTCA held on to get the win, 66-60. vs. Memorial
The Lady Crusaders fell to Memorial on Monday of this week in a close game. The game was back-and-forth, with RTCA fell just short, as Memorial took the win, 44- 41.
In the boys’ game RTCA rolled to an easy win over the Matadors. RTCA defeated Memorial 58-37 to close out the regular season with a win.
This week RTCA will play in the Region Tournament at Brewton-Parker College. On Thursday the Lady Crusaders will play Memorial Day at 4:00 p.m., and the boys will play CCA at 7:00 p.m.
