Community Food Pantry to Serve Montgomery County on March 7

A community food pantry will be giving out food to Montgomery County households struggling with food insecurity from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, March 7.

The Mount Vernon First United Methodist Church, located on 120 McGregor Street in Mount Vernon, will give out a variety of frozen meats, canned goods, and dry goods to individuals who visit the pantry during the allotted time.

The food pantry is a partnership between the Church and Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia; food is provided by donation and through the United States Department of Agriculture.
