Daughtry Speaks to Four Rivers Patriots

The Four Rivers Patriots Chapter, Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution held its monthly meeting on Thursday night, February 20, 2025, at Chatters Restaurant in Lyons at 7:00. With President Joel Keener presiding, there were 16 in attendance.

Dual member Dess Smith III presented Sgtat- Arms Dan Brown the 5 chapter Flag Streamers. They were the President General Distinction Award 2024, the Distinguished Chapter Award 2024, Membership Award 2024, the Elijah Clarke Heroes of the Hornets Nest Event and the Battle of Kettle Creek Event.

President Keener then inducted the newest member, David Carlton Moncus, who was approved by the National Society on January 24, 2025. His Patriot is Colesby Smith.

The speaker was Compatriot Hu Daughtry, a member of the Mill Creek Chapter in Statesboro. He talked about his new book, 48 Stars in the Trunk. He and his wife Susan live in Metter.
