The Toombs County Grand Jury reconvened on Monday, March 10, and issued 13 true bills of indictment, including one that charged Jason Thomas Tipton Bauer, 27, of Vidalia for the death of Jordan Davis.

Jordan Davis died at home on February 6, 2024, at age 25 from fentanyl poisoning. A few months after Davis’s death, on April 9, 2024, Bauer was arrested on drug charges relating to a Schedule II Controlled Substance, such as Fentanyl.

During the Grand Jury session, the Jury was presented with evidence that Bauer was responsible for supplying the Fentanyl that killed Davis; the Grand Jury determined there was enough evidence in the matter for the case to go to trial.

Bauer will now enter a guilty or continued from page

not guilty plea to the court to determine his next steps in the judicial process.
