Eagles Win Over Dooly

The Montgomery County High School Eagles baseball team picked up their first win of the season last Tuesday at home against the Bobcats of Dooly County.

It was a big first inning for the Eagles as they put 15 runs on the board. They loaded up the bases and a walk to Matthew Harvey brought in the first run. Abisael Mezquititla was then hit by a pitch. Taylor Scott walked in another run, Jake Hudson singled, Ramsey Jordan then came through with a 3-run double. By the end of the inning, it was 15-0 with MCHS out in front.

MCHS added seven more runs in the second inning to push their lead to 22-0. Dooly did pick up a run in the top of the third inning, but the Eagles took the win, 22-1.

This week MCHS was at Hawkinsville on Tuesday after presstime. They will be back in action on Wednesday at Atkinson County at 5:30 p.m., and will host Hawkinsville on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
