Brewton-Parker College's men's and women's track and field teams competed at the CIU Classic held on March 7-8 at Columbia International University. Competing against a robust lineup of institutions, the men secured a thrilling second-place finish out of 16 teams, and the women's team took sixth out of 13 official teams. Both teams delivered thrilling performances, securing a sweep of the SSAC Men's Player of the Week honors and taking home the honor of the Women's Player of the Week for the track. Jonah McNealey, Cayden Restrepo, and Sidni Daniels claimed said awards.

Significantly boosting their school's pride, the women's 4×100 relay team — comprising Sophia Brown, Kendra Payne, Danaysia Roberts, and Sidni Daniels crushed a school record, a testament to their synergy and hard work.

Further elevating the team's achievements, Jonah McNealey set a new school record in the Triple Jump with a remarkable leap of 14.44 meters. In the Long Jump, Javon Mclean soared to 7.04 meters, while Yabaka Moore grabbed a secondplace finish in the hammer throw with a hurl of 42.56 meters, closely followed by Daniel Smith, who landed fourth with 41.64 meters.

Sidni Daniels came in second place in the 100m with a time of 12.17 seconds. Cayden Restrepo took home the 400 hurdles with a time of 55.15 seconds.

The Barons will carry this momentum into their next engagement on March 22, in Statesboro, where they are slated to compete in another invitational.
