Brewton-Parker College is thrilled to announce the arrival of the new impact players for the 2026 Flag Football Season. The Barons, led by head coach Sheldon Miller, have spent the past year recruiting some of the best sought-after talent in and out of state. Miller has already signed and committed 17 players to the inaugural Brewton- Parker Flag Football team. These 17 plus several more that the coach is actively recruiting will be history-makers for the program, setting the record we hope others will chase for many years to come.

Looking at the offensive side of the ball, Coach Miller has already signed some talented freshmen for next season. The Barons will be anchored at quarterback by Katie Smith from Locust Grove, Georgia. Smith will be paired with some incredibly gifted wideouts: Kennedy Osborn, Kinsley Gerenyi, Jizelle Riley, and Jahnarriah Massey. Ciara O'Brien or Vanai Aaron will play center. The Barons also bring Ta'Meria Williams and Keshauna Gusby to run the rock.

The Barons are excited to see what these playmakers can do next year and want to welcome them all to Brewton-Parker.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Barons have linebacker Montanna Tatum, outside linebacker Caryn Cummings, Rushers Mariah Wilder and Abigail Tewalt, Safety Skie Riner, and corner D'nAisa Leonard-Potts. Head Coach Sheldon Miller is actively recruiting more players to fill out his defense.

As far as special teams go, the Barons will look to Ciara O'Brien or Skie Riner to punt the ball. They have several exciting athletes who can be plugged into the lineup in numerous positions depending on need. Caylnn Singletary and Zaleria Miller are two that Coach intends to use in a variety of new and exciting formations and plays to keep opposing teams on their heels. Head Coach Sheldon shared his thoughts on the upcoming season and the team he is assembling, 'God has truly blessed our program with some incredibly talented young players from Florida and Georgia. We look forward to getting everyone on campus, starting practicing in the fall, and seeing how far this group can go. We are incredibly excited about the talent we have already committed to but remain on the recruiting trail to continue filling holes in our roster. We can't wait to have our full team come fall. Go Barons!'

Miller's confidence makes the athletic department and Barons fans excited to look forward to next season. The inaugural team will compete in the Sun Conference. The conference has several familiar faces for Barons fans, as Life, Point, and Thomas are all currently members. The Baron's faithful will recognize them from the SSAC. The Barons are excited to start this new chapter in athletics.
